Surveys suggest that approximately 60% of U.S. vehicle owners have displayed a bumper sticker, decal, or magnet on their vehicles, with sports, leisure, and political messages among the most common themes. Surveys also indicate that 44% of drivers would consider displaying a faith-based symbol or message. Yet while driving throughout central New Hampshire, I rarely see vehicles carrying a clear Christian message.

I believe this is often because people do not want to attach something permanent to their vehicle, or because they have not found a message they feel comfortable and confident displaying.

BumperStickerMinistry.com was created to help bridge that gap. We have registered ten domain names that will be used on lightly decorated magnetic bumper stickers, each carrying a simple public message and an invitation to accept Christ or rededicate one’s life to Him. Those who respond through an online form will be connected with a local church for follow-up and encouragement.

If just 2% of the nation’s 242 million licensed drivers displayed one of these magnetic bumper stickers, and if only 1% of those who saw them visited the site and responded by making a decision for Christ, the result could be 48,400 changed lives each year. While the direct impact will likely be more modest, even one life reached for Christ would make the effort worthwhile.
